Cost You cover the entire cost of the vehicle upfront. You can borrow the full cost of the vehicle plus other costs like as registration, insurance and on-road costs. There's no deposit required, and you can finance the full cost of the vehicle, as well as things like insurance and on-road costs.
Ownership You own your vehicle from the beginning. If you take out a loan agreement, you have ownership of the vehicle.
If you choose a Hire Purchase agreement, you will pay off the cost of your vehicle over time. Once you’ve made the final balloon payment, it’s yours.
You don’t have ownership of the vehicle.
Ongoing payments You don’t have any ongoing payments. You make regular payments. You can also choose to reduce your regular payments by paying a deposit upfront, or making a balloon payment at the end of your term. You make regular lease payments. You can reduce your payments by increasing your residual value.

Tax If you are buying the vehicle for business purposes, its depreciation may be tax deductible. If you are buying the vehicle for business purposes, you may be able to claim a deduction for your interest and borrowing costs, and depreciation.
